C Programming
I just purchased the C Programming for the Absolute Beginner book written by Michael Vine. I downloaded the recommended freeware and started with chapter one. It took me several hours to get through the first few pages, but I think I have the grasp of how to properly use this book to learn C programming. I am an Information Technology major with a minor in Management Information Sciences at the University of Memphis. I am far from the end of my studies. :( I am only able to take so many classes due to my workload, so I am trying to learn a little programming in my free time. I know that at some point I am supposed to learn MY SQL as part of my MIS minor and C is a stepping stone for this, so maybe this will be more beneficial than I am planning. In other technological news, I just purchased my first expensive Windows operating system computer. I have always been an Apple user, but several of my professors have expressed a need for me to learn and be very familiar with Windows. I have been very impressed with this machine so far and is supposed to be VERY comparable to the MacBook Pro-- HP Envy, show me what you got!
