Singing

If there is one thing that I miss from my high school era, it is singing. There was really only two things I really enjoyed about high school. The first of which is my wife and then choir. I have been lucky enough to hold onto my wife, it appears however that singing has slipped through my fingers. I never thought of myself as an excellent singer, but I was decent enough. While at Harding University, during my freshmen year, I had planned on taking choir. That was until I found out that the choral class met at noon. All of my friends had lunch at noon and the last thing that I wanted to do was not spend time with my new friends. Since I left Harding, I have had little time for anything.

The only time that I have alone that I could even sing to myself is my morning car ride to work. The whole five minutes. At six o'clock in the morning, five minutes is not enough time to wake up, let alone warm up and complete one song. Since I haven't sung in such a long time, I am finding that I have no range anymore either. The songs that I used to sing with ease, are now hard. One of the only "solos" that I ever performed was "Come What May" from Moulin Rouge. It was actually a duet and I performed it with my wife. I can't sing it anymore. :( It makes me sad.

Maybe one day when I finish school and my wife and I have normal jobs and I can sing again.
