It is crazy to me that technology changes as frequently as is does. Best Buy has now instilled a technology Buy Back Program so you can return your outdated technology for newer stuff. If you watch their commercial, it makes as a humorous ad, but at the same time you get a sick feeling in your stomach. It has happened to everyone, you purchase a gadget, whether it be a newer phone, thinner TV, or faster computer and within months it is "behind the times." I am grateful that I live in a world where as a civilization we are always trying to make technology better and up to date, but it has gotten out of control over the last decade. If companies are going to continue to distribute new technology every four to six months, they need to make it cheaper, not offer a Buy Back Program.
I mean, how much does it really cost to make a smart phone? I know that companies have to make a profit on products, but can you honestly look me in the face and tell me that you can only make a profit if I spend $600?
