Hopefully in the near future, I would like to purchase a home. I am not at the point where I am actually looking at houses but I am starting to do some basic research. There is a lot more than goes into purchasing a house than I first realized. A big decision such as this is not one that I want to rush, but we have to move before next summer starts. For the most part we love where we live. The layout is nice and the location is amazing. The air conditioner is a constant issue and so is the internet. Apparently, Comcast has some issues with our neighborhood. They have told us that "surges" are causing our problems and that there really isn't anything we can do. So basically we never have internet, at least not consistently.
Going back to the topic of purchasing a home.
Assuming I can continue to put away money like I am now we should be able to purchase a home in the Spring. Either way we have to move before it gets hot, so I would prefer if the next move is a permanent one. Since 2005 I have lived in 9 different "homes." I had hoped that our current location could keep me happy for a few years, but it just won't do. So here is to hoping that the housing market stays in a sad state for the next year and maybe I get a few more raises. :)
